Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah - April, 2000

This was a welcome sight after a sweaty hike through the floor of Calf Creek Canyon. This waterfall, and the high walls that help create its path, provide a refreshing relief from the surrounding desert. I wanted to capture the softness of the falls without diminishing its power. I also wanted to convey the cool temperature of the scene within its desert canyon environment.
