Merced River of Yosemite NP in California - October, 2006

The photographic options presented by the Merced River, long after the spring thaw, are endless. Looking into the small sections, as in this image, allowed me to visually represent the introspective mood in Yosemite that day; the day after Lander's Todd Skinner died in a climbing accident.
