Zion NP in Utah - April, 2000

The Virgin River carries a marked amount of sedimentary silt in its flow. This is noticeable to anyone who happens to watch this river for any period of time. A long shutter speed at dusk allowed me to represent this element within the river's current. I found this to be a pleasing concept of contrast with both the colorful rocks and the nakedness of the cottonwood trees that frame the sun-baked peak in the background.
