Titcomb Basin in the Wind River Mountains, Wyoming - August, 1999

Certainly, the Winds are known for their numerous lakes, imposing mountain walls, and glacially-carved valleys. One of the most splendid examples of this is Island Lake with Titcomb Basin in the background. Several peaks over 13,000' are on majestic display from this spot.
